Dear [Name,fallback=]
On Thursday 28th August, we are proud to present a draft of 100 bulls, 60 Shorthorn and 40 Charolais. The bulls have been selected with a balanced approach focusing on those that will breed optimal performance and profit driving traits which will be passed on to their progeny. Our breeding goals continue to prioritise the characteristics that will best serve commercial and seedstock producers alike. This year is especially significant as we proudly mark 50 years of Temana Charolais bloodlines. The journey began in 1975 when Terry and Maylene started preparing Charolais‑cross steers for carcase competitions. Their remarkable performance ignited a passion that inspired them to AI their base herd of Red Poll, Angus, Friesian, and Murray Grey cows with the Charolais sire Lazy JR Cadet. In 1980, they took a major step forward by acquiring the Redvale Charolais herd from Oakey, QLD. Purchasing 40 cows and the influential full-French sire Piccadilly Blue Blood. His progeny have since established a lasting legacy within the Temana breeding program, helping to shape the high‑quality genetics we continue to offer today. From winning their first Grand Champion carcase in 1978, to taking out Supreme Champion Exhibit at the 1992 Sydney Royal Show at the Charolais World Congress with Temana Joshua, it has been a remarkable journey. Temana bloodlines have been used widely across Australia, including by leading pastoral companies such as AA Co, Austral Downs, Brunette Downs, and Stanbroke Pastoral Co who purchased Temana Masterpiece the sire of some of this year’s sale bulls. Another of their proudest moments was breeding the Brisbane Royal (EKKA) Jackpot steer winner. Above all, the greatest reward has been building long-standing relationships with producers—some who have supported by purchasing bulls for over 35 years. Our Shorthorn offering is the largest single-vendor draft in NSW this year and showcases the breed’s superior marbling traits. Likewise, our Charolais bulls continue to impress with their carcase yield and ease of finishing, making them an ideal fit for a range of breeding programs. We know that choosing the right genetics is critical to the long-term success of your operation. That’s why we encourage you to inspect the bulls prior to sale. Join us for our Bull Walk Day on Wednesday, 13th August, where you can view the draft, discuss performance data, and assess how our genetics align with your program goals. We’re here to assist you in any way we can—please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or to arrange a visit before the sale. We look forward to welcoming you, showcasing our 2025 lineup, and sharing our hospitality. Regards Jason & Kylie 0429479249
